This is what we do.
This is the first call. We are available Monday through Friday, from 9 am through 3 pm at (866) 627-8904, if you have questions or need to find resources to help a senior or person with a disability. We help find, navigate, and understand the programs and services available.
Beyond good feelings and a sense of purpose, seniors who volunteer can make friends, learn new skills, and keep their minds sharper. Unlike a traditional job, volunteering offers the flexibility to fit into your schedule and the freedom to explore different opportunities to find the right fit.
Our program provides individuals with disability-related equipment at no cost. Please note that equipment availability, colors, brands, styles may vary. We also accept donations of durable medical equipment. All items are cleaned and sanitized by our staff before lending.
It's always good to learn something new! We offer classes for those interested in arts, crafts, computers, and so much more. Come and join us!
We help homebound seniors get services from Meals On Wheels. It can be an absolutely essential service for many older adults—providing a hot meal, a friendly visitor and someone to check in on them every weekday.
Low-cost weekday lunches have many benefits other than providing a meal and good nutrition. These include getting out and socializing. Our dining program is a great way to combat loneliness and make new friends. Check out our menus!
We have a volunteer team that helps seniors maintain their homes, making them safe and secure. Many older adults have to give up the independence of living in their home, simply because the home has not been modified for their safety. Senior Services Team of Handymen to the rescue!
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is a free, no-strings-attached service providing income tax assistance, preparation, review, and e-filing of returns for most taxpayers. This includes both federal and state returns.
Want to get moving? Come join us for some indoor walking, pickleball or yoga! We have many opportunities for you to be more active in a way that works for you.
Our Computer Lab offers free help with your digital devices. We can show you how to search for information on the internet or use email. And we have desktop computers you can use whenever our offices are open. Registration is encouraged; there is no fee.
Our Medicare/Medicaid Assistance Program (MMAP) provides unbiased help with Medicare and Medicaid – at no charge. Our certified volunteers answer questions, troubleshoot problems and help people understand their plan choices. Government grants allow us to offer impartial assistance for free.
We provide services to help make sure seniors can live comfortably and safely in any place they call home—whether that’s their own home or apartment, an assisted living facility or with family caregivers. Our services are not income-based.
We provide a variety of activities including Fitness, Crafts, Card games, live music and much more! Check out our Newsletter or Calendars for our monthly activities. You are sure to meet new friends and find something you enjoy.
You can help improve lives. Make volunteering your second act! Whatever your background, we’ll try to match you with a volunteer opportunity that matches your interests, skills, and availability.
We can arrange to bring meals to seniors at home. Our Dining Programs are held at the centers and provide a low-cost, nutritious meal and a chance to connect, have fun, and socialize.
